Ink drawings

Using a paint brush and ink, these are portraits of women caught in transient moments, "that nonetheless possess an underlying gravity and emotion". They were created using quick gestural strokes and take no longer than a minute to paint. I often repeat the image several times until I obtain the right poetic weight.
