✨ Online Exhibition: Monoprints | One of a Kind ❤️💜
Thrilled to share that my work has been featured for the online exhibition, ‘One of a Kind’, A curated selection of unique artworks celebrating the art of monoprint by @woolwichcontemporaryprintfair .

To coincide with the season of love, they’ve handpicked a selection of exceptional monoprint artists to showcase the beauty and individuality of this expressive medium.

Every artwork in this collection is a one-of-a-kind piece, embodying the uniqueness that monoprints are known for, and why I love monoprints. Check out a gorgeous display of bright colours, expressive brushstrokes, and stunning compositions that celebrate creativity and joy.

The concept was simple: each artist added their own drawing and sent it off to the next, creating one collective narrative as the leporello travelled. To guide the process, we set 7 rules for everyone to follow:

1️⃣ One panel per artist – Work from left to right.

2️⃣ Be playful – Experiment with materials and techniques. No mistakes, only discoveries.

3️⃣ Let randomness flow – Use the previous panel as a prompt, or don’t! Embrace the mystery and humour that comes with unpredictability. Together, we’re creating a continuous flow of drawings.

4️⃣ Break boundaries – Don’t feel precious by the panel before yours. Connect, layer, and let your imagination expand outward.

5️⃣ Celebrate accidents – Unexpected surprises are part of the magic!

6️⃣ 3 weeks to create – Take your time, but keep the leporello moving.

7️⃣ Pass it on – Mail the leporello to someone on the list, crossing their name off as you go. Include the rules and address list when you send it!

Surrealists believed that playful games hold the key to unlocking the conscious mind and “releasing the visual poetry of our collective creativity.”

Monday Night | Issue 4 takes inspiration from this Surrealist tradition of collective authorship. Over six months, I collaborated with 12 artists on this zine, featuring 4 metres of original artwork. Over 6 months a leporello journeyed through the mail across England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, and Germany, transforming into a work of collective imagination. 🌍💌
